This beautiful halter neck maxi dress is handmade in London. It features a high front split opening and extra long straps that can be tied as either a halter neck or in a crossover back closure which enables an adjustable fit and gives extra support. The dress is made of a stretchy figure-hugging fabric.

The model is 5'3" and wears a size S.

Backstory

This dress is inspired by Maya’s childhood memories and love for Rajasthan, which is renowned as India’s most colourful state and the origin of her family.

The dress draws inspiration from Jaipur, also known as Pink City, the capital of Rajasthan. It alludes to the region's former royal dynasty. The queen, wife of Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh, loved the colour and asked the Maharaja to make a law that every house in Jaipur should be pink in colour. This law is effective until today. The pattern and texture in the garment are a reflection of the beautiful architectural design of the city’s Hawa Mahal palace which is made of red and pink sandstone.
