Backstory

The construction of this dress is inspired by India's historic usage of draping found in the sari, a piece of unstitched cloth that can be arranged in a vast variety of different draping styles. Each region is known for having its own speciality of the sari, crafted using indigenous fabrics and inherited embellishment techniques. Since ancient times, the sari has been India's signature garment, expressing the beauty and grace of a woman. It has long served as a unifying force in a country with diverse traditions and allows the wearer to express their personality.
